EDUCATION

St. Joseph’s province is committed to the teachings of the gospels, which promote Christian values together with individuals' spiritual and intellectual growth. It provides school education for children, adolescence irrespective of their religion, creed, social and ethnic backgrounds. In order to fulfill this mission, the St. Joseph’s province has established four schools in and around its operational area of St. Joseph’s province.

Christuraja Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Marthandam

St. Joseph’s Province owns and manages Christuraja Matriculation Higher Secondary School located at Marthandam an important town in the Kanyakumari District. There are 66 teachers including Nuns and the school has a strength of 1600 students. The school offers Matriculation Board of Education. The medium of instruction is English. In addition Hindi, Tamil, French and Malayalam are taught. Apart from imparting academic knowledge the school also pays equal attention to social value education, sex education, Scripture and life skill education.

The students are encouraged to participate in the extracurricular activities by actively training them on Music, dance, musical instruments. In order to enrich the social thought of students, they are given opportunity to involve themselves in learning the environment and ecology through Nature Club, social responsibility through National Service Scheme, Youth Red Cross, Scout and Guide. The spiritual attitude of the students is enhanced through regular catechism classes. Career guidance and counselling is offered to every student with the aim of helping them to cope effectively with the society.

It is a pride to see our students in service in almost all sectors with adequate competency and knowledge. Students from impoverished families are provided free education and care. Tuitions are conducted for slow learners so as to make them more potential

There are 46 teachers including Nuns and the school has a strength of 1300 students. The school offers Matriculation Board of Education. The medium of instruction is English. In addition Hindi, Tamil, French and Malayalam are taught. Apart from imparting academic knowledge the school also pays equal attention to social value education, sex education, scripture and life skill education.

Christujothi Matriculation School, Thanippady

St. Josephs Province owns and manages Christujothi Matriculation School located at Thanippady a small town in the Thiruvannamalai District. There are 46 teachers including Nuns and the school has a strength of 1300 students comprising the tribal and non-tribal children. This school caters to the educational needs of the tribal population in that area. The school offers Matriculation Board of Education. The medium of instruction is English. In addition Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam are taught.
